Why is my drain plug on my radiator return leaking after thermostat replacement?

Car is a Saturn SL2 with 50,000miles on it. Just replaced thermostat for overheating reasons (had gone through relays realizing the fan could still be tripped by turning on the a/c) and a part we never touched is leaking horribly. Part is leaking on the block-side, part is drain plug housing (We added rubber Orings to both sides with little luck). Any ideas?

tub drain replacement – just the drain ‘basket’ not the pipes?

I am trying to replace the drain in my tub (not the pipes, just the silver drain part that shows while you are in the tub). I am having a hard time removing it. Are they all threaded or just the new ones? The tub is from 1954, standard cast iron porcelian coted tub. Tell me what you know… not what you think.

Is there a natural way to unclog my drains?

I have used a plunger, and bleach, and I would rather not go out and get a chemical draining fluid because thats even more chemicals and exspensive. Is there another way i can unclog my drains? They are all making noises when one is clogged or being used, which means they must all connect in my tiny apartment and the clog is in the middle of the drain.

BathTub Drain Replacement?

I’m trying to take out the old bathtub drain and the cross at the bottom is all broken out.There’s nothing to grab onto now..Any suggestions? I thought that I would do this as an easy diy job, bathroom drains don’t seem to be too complicated, now the bathtub drains cannot be used as they would be leaking all over the bathroom floor.

I just ordered a internal wrench made by PASCO..I’ll post if it works in a few days..Thanks everyone for any ideas you have.

I know my last resort will be a drains plumber, and if so I will get him to look at the shower drain at the same time, but I was wondering if any of you have experience of bathtub drains repair or installation for new pipework.

Where can I find a replacement shower drain cover to raise the existing drain about 3/4?

I am remodeling my shower stall. The shower floor is below the bathroom floor level and is set in concrete. All of the tile and concrete are ok, so I am going to simply tile over the existing floor. But that means my drain is about three quarters of an inch below the new floor level. I need to raise the level of the exisitng drain to the level of the new floor. There are no screw holes, only a drain about two inches in diameter. Any Ideas?

why would a full elbow replacement constantly be leaking fluid?

My mother is 78 and has an elbow replacement that is constantly leaking fluid. She is in a nursing home and they don’t seem to be concerned about it. They say she is on antibiotics forever but can’t give a reason for the leak. It drains thru her bandages everyday. Does anyone know if this is normal and if not, what should I do about it? HELP!!

Washer smells and drains spit and gurgle with laundry loads the same rotten egg smell?

When I do laundry, when the washer drains my bathroom sink spits and bathtub drain gurgles and there is a horrible rotten egg smell. I cut back on laundry soap and fab softener and the stinch is still lingering. Have also tried the septic treatments and nothing has worked. Have tried to check the drain vents but doesn’t looked clogged. You can hear the gurgling outside also from the vents. What is going on with my draining system? HELP ME!
