I have a Roper washing machine that wont spin. It washes, rinses, and drains but doesnt attempt to spin. Help?

The dial will go to the end of the cycle but nothing is going on during the spin portion of the cycle.

If it is an old style belt driven then the wig-wag solenoids are possibly bad not allowing it to engage the spin cycle. If it is the newer style direct drive then the two speed motor or switch is not activating for the drum to spin at high speed. These are possibilities, without being there to troubleshoot I can only make assumptions

could be the clutches in which case you will want to buy a new machine.
